Hamilton County Public Works

Dazu Creative was selected to develop the Hamilton County Public Works signage system for the county’s operations campus located at 4005 Cromwell Road in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The goal of the Hamilton County Public Works signage system was to create a clear, functional, and durable wayfinding package that improves navigation across the facility’s exterior grounds.

Working in close collaboration with the Administrator of Public Works & County Engineer and his team, we designed a system that reflects both the practical needs of a government operations facility and the county’s commitment to user-friendly public infrastructure. The signage package included site identification, vehicular directional signage, staff and visitor parking signage, and regulatory signs, all unified under a clean visual language that supports the day-to-day operations of the Public Works department.

This project demonstrates the power of strategic signage in supporting efficient movement, safety, and clarity in complex civic environments.
